This piece was heavily inspired from Jill Scott’s latest album “To whom it May concern” . I enjoyed her art, always filled with soulful energy. She expressed herself unapologetically and her lyrics were like a lasso of truth. Today her music proclaims how Black women should find their inner strength to prevail against and over the odds. She lifted the standard for Black women to command justice, love, power, and respect. As a Black Man I give a huge shoutout for Black Women and I know after listening to her album yall must feel like busting through doors and spaces feeling like Wonder Woman. Yall deserve many flowers!
